TCI is a community coalition focused on preventing substance use and promoting safe and responsible behavior in Tazewell County. Two existing community coalitions – the Tazewell Teen Initiative (TTI) and the Overdose Response Team – merged to form TCI in November of 2024. TCI will carry out several community initiatives over the upcoming year, including distributing Naloxone (Narcan) throughout the county, raising public awareness through community events and social media campaigns, and equipping local law enforcement officers, first responders, and educators to handle substance use situations.
